Jack B. Krona, Jr.
Mr. Krona, who served as a member of the San Diego Law Review, believes that his two-year
tenure as Law Clerk to United States District Judge Robert B. Maloney is where he developed his
legal philosophy and writing style. Approximately 40 new civil cases were assigned to the Judge
each month, making Mr. Krona responsible for managing in excess of 150 civil cases at any given
time. Mr. Krona was responsible for preparing proposed orders on all substantive motions, preparing
proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law for all non-jury trials, and ensuring that the
Court had subject matter jurisdiction over all newly filed cases.
Before joining Pezzulli Kinser, Mr. Krona earned his reputation for solving complex legal
problems with innovative solutions at a nationally recognized labor and employment defense firm. Mr.
Krona has successfully advised clients and handled all phases of litigation in a wide range of
proactive areas, including civil rights, labor and employment, commercial and contract disputes,
ERISA, sexual abuse cases involving both children and mentally challenged adults, as well as complex
personal injury and product litigation. Mr. Krona has successfully appealed adverse jury verdicts
to the United States Courts of Appeals for both the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, including Skidmore
v. Precision Printing & Packaging, Inc., 188 F.3d 606 (5th Cir. 1999) (adverse sexual
harassment jury verdict reversed and rendered) and Watkins v. Roadway Express, 273 F.3d 1094
(5th Cir. 2001) (adverse ADA jury verdict reversed and rendered). Mr. Krona also served as a
contributing editor for the 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 Texas Employer publication,
which is a comprehensive survey and examination of the current Texas employment laws and likely
trends.
Mr. Krona is licensed to practice law in both Texas and California. He is admitted to practice
before the United States Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 10th Circuits, as well as the federal
courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western districts of Texas.
